MuralFlyer (by salmonrojo)
“En lucha: Nuestra fuerza es la juventud” depicts the history and hopes of 11 youths as they struggled to overcome personal obstacles, from educational setbacks to incarceration in local juvenile facilities. In the tradition of the Mexican murals of the 1920s and American protest murals of the 1960s and 70s, “En Lucha” is intended to not only symbolize the youths’ personal history and the cultural history of their community, but to educate and empower the community at large.
