About the Flor de Nopal Literary Festival:

We are extremely excited to announce the upcoming Flor de Nopal Literary Festival. We are hoping that you will consider making a tax-deductible contribution to support our efforts to create diverse literary programming in Austin and to provide workshops on writing and creativity free of charge to the community.  Our current fundraising goal of $2500 will help to offset travel/meal expenses for some of the poets coming to Austin for the festival and other festival expenses.

Our mission is to promote the literary work of emerging and established Latin@ poets and writers, to create and nourish ties between Latin@ writers and writers of other races and ethnicities, and to offer writing workshops not only of interest to other writers but to diverse communities.

Co-coordinators: Moises S. L. Lara and ire’ne lara silva
